The composite 90-degree P-trap fuel tank vent (model 66419-3) is a great addition to your boat. It stops water from getting into the fuel tank while letting air vent freely during normal sea conditions and washdowns. This means you don't need an anti-siphon loop in the vent hose.

Using this Attwood 90° P-Trap Fuel Tank Vent is easy. First, make sure you have a 3/4 - inch installation hole and the hull thickness is no more than 9/16 inches. Connect it to a 5/8 - inch I.D. hose. When you fill your boat's fuel tank, it will automatically vent the air. During normal sea conditions and washdowns, it keeps water out of the fuel tank. As for maintenance, regularly check for any signs of corrosion or damage. Since it's splash - resistant and corrosion - resistant, it should last a long time. Also, note that it's compatible with ethanol blended fuels. Keep it clean and follow the ABYC standards for safety.
