Quick Guide (pdf)
Using these Ancor heat shrink ring terminals is easy. First, choose the right terminal for your wire gauge (22 - 18 AWG). Slide the terminal onto the stripped end of your wire. Then, use a heat gun to apply heat until the terminal shrinks to form a tight seal, usually at 257°F/125°C. Make sure to heat evenly around the terminal. When using, be aware of the warning about chemicals. This product contains di(2 - ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) which can be harmful. For more info, check P65Warnings.ca.gov. For maintenance, store these terminals in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Since they're tinned for corrosion resistance, they'll last a long time if stored properly. The high - quality pure copper and brazed seam ensure good performance over time, but avoid bending or damaging the terminals during use.
