Quick Guide (pdf)
Using these Ancor heat shrink ring terminals is easy. First, select the appropriate wire with a gauge size between 16 - 14. Slide the terminal onto the wire. Then, use a heat source like a heat gun to heat the terminal. Make sure to heat it evenly until it shrinks to 1/3 of its original size, which usually happens at 257°F or 125°C. Once shrunk, it will form a watertight seal and relieve strain. When using, keep in mind that this product can expose you to certain chemicals, so follow the safety warnings. For maintenance, store them in a dry place. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures outside the 40°C to 110°C operating range. Regularly check the terminals for any signs of corrosion or damage, and if needed, replace them.
