Product Detail

The Airmar SS175C-0-H 0d Tilt transducer with High CHIRP and Garmin 8-Pin is a great choice for smaller boats up to 11 m (36'). It's a depth and fast - response water - temperature sensor with 1 kW power and can reach a maximum depth of 304 m (1000'). With a high frequency range from 130 kHz to 210 kHz, it offers a 10° to 6° beamwidth and 80 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer. This high frequency gives excellent shallow water performance, clear bottom details, and good fish target separation. The stainless steel housing fits all hull types and materials, and there's also a bronze housing (B175H) model available. It uses the exclusive Xducer ID® technology. Airmar's low - profile Chirp - ready transducers are ideal for center consoles. The high - frequency band has a narrow beamwidth, perfect for finding fish near wrecks and reefs. Tilted element transducers correct for hull deadrise to ensure maximum echo returns. Specifications include a weight of 2.7 kg (6 lb), hull deadrise up to 24°, a urethane acoustic window, and a 98 mm (3 - 7/8') hole size with one internal ceramic assembly.

Using the Airmar SS175C - 0 - H transducer is easy. First, choose the right location on your boat's hull. Make sure the area is clean and smooth before installation. The transducer should be installed almost flush to the hull. The tilt of the element helps correct for the hull deadrise, so it's important to install it correctly to get the best echo returns. When using, turn on your compatible Garmin device connected via the 8 - pin. You can then start getting depth and water - temperature readings. As for maintenance, regularly check the transducer for any signs of damage, like cracks in the urethane acoustic window. Clean it gently with a soft cloth to keep it free from dirt and debris. If you notice any issues with the readings, check the connections and make sure the ceramic assembly inside is in good condition. Avoid hitting the transducer against hard objects as it may affect its performance. Also, if you're not using the boat for a long time, it's a good idea to store it in a dry place.
