Product Detail

The Airmar B175 is a wide-beam chirp high-frequency transducer with a 12d tilted element and comes with a Navico 9-Pin Mix-N-Match cable. Model: B175C-12-HW-9N. It's a depth and fast-response water-temperature sensor. With high CHIRPS from 150 kHz to 250 kHz, it has a 25° constant beamwidth and 100 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer. It covers the popular fishing frequency of 200 kHz and everything else in the bandwidth. Ideal for fiberglass or wood hulls on boats 8 m (25’) and above. Airmar's new wide beam Chirp product line offers more coverage under the boat. Its high frequency range of 150 - 250 kHz and constant 25° beam width make it a great broadband choice. It improves the performance of Chirp-ready echosounders. Anglers will get twice the coverage compared to current high frequency Chirp transducers. The beam width is a constant 25° across the entire frequency band, providing vast bottom coverage, precise fish detection in the upper water column, and creating crisper and larger return images on the display. Specifications: Deadrise 8° to 15°, Acoustic Window Urethane, Power rating 1 kW @ 1% duty cycle, Frequency 150 to 250 kHz - A (Broadband).

Using the Airmar B175 transducer is easy. First, make sure your boat's hull is fiberglass or wood and at least 8 m (25’) in size. Connect the Navico 9 - Pin Mix - N - Match cable properly to your system. Once it's installed, the transducer will start providing depth and water - temperature information. When fishing, take advantage of the 150 - 250 kHz frequency range, especially the 200 kHz popular fishing frequency. This will help you detect fish better. Remember, the deadrise of your boat should be between 8° to 15°. For maintenance, keep the acoustic window (made of urethane) clean. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals. If you notice any issues with the power (rated at 1 kW @ 1% duty cycle), check the connections first. Overall, this transducer will give you great coverage under the boat and clear images on your display.
