Product Detail

The Airmar M285 High Wide CHIRP In-Hull Transducer comes with a Navico 9-Pin Mix-N-Match Cable. Model: M285C-HW-9N. It's depth-only and ready for high-frequency CHIRP (150 - 250kHz), offering excellent performance both offshore and inshore. This 1 kW transducer is perfect for trailered or lifted boats. With a 25-degree fixed beamwidth and a urethane housing filled with liquid, it also features the exclusive Xducer ID®. As CHIRP revolutionizes recreational fishing, the M285HW is an economical option for offshore and freshwater anglers. Operating at 150 - 250kHz and a 25-degree beam, it shows ultra-clear target resolution in shallow, murky waters up to 700 feet. The transducer has a plastic housing secured inside the boat hull, filled with eco-friendly anti-freeze. It's inserted into the housing and adjusted for the right dead rise offset to ensure the beam shoots straight down. The liquid helps transmit through the fiberglass into the water. Since there are no protruding parts on the hull exterior, it's ideal for smaller boats up to 25' with solid core fiberglass hulls. Specifications: Beamwidth 25°, Depth range to 700’ (215 meters), Hull Deadrise adjustable 2° to 20°, Acoustic Window Urethane, CHIRP Frequency Range 150 - 250kHz. What's in the box: M285C-HW-MM and MMC-9N.

Using this Airmar M285C-HW CHIRP In-Hull Transducer is quite straightforward. First, secure the plastic housing inside your boat's hull. Then, insert the transducer into the housing and adjust it for the proper dead rise offset so that the beam shoots straight down. This will ensure you get the best results. When using it, keep in mind that it's designed for smaller boats up to 25' with solid core fiberglass hulls. Also, it works best in the high-frequency range of 150 - 250kHz and can reach depths up to 700 feet. For maintenance, make sure to check the urethane housing regularly. If there are any signs of damage or leakage, get it repaired or replaced right away. And keep the cable in good condition to avoid any signal issues. When not in use, store it in a dry place to prevent any damage from moisture.
