Product Detail

The Airmar M285 High Wide CHIRP In-Hull Transducer comes with a Raymarine 11-Pin Mix-N-Match Cable. Model: M285C-HW-11R. It's depth-only and Chirp-ready at high frequency (150 - 250kHz), offering great performance offshore and inshore. Perfect for trailered or lifted boats, it has a 1 kW output and a 25-degree fixed beamwidth. The urethane housing is liquid-filled, and it has the exclusive Xducer ID®. As Chirp revolutionizes recreational fishing, AIRMAR has expanded the single band transducers. The M285HW is an economical 1kW Chirp transducer for offshore and freshwater fishing. Operating at 150 - 250kHz with a 25-degree beam, it gives ultra-clear target resolution in shallow, murky waters up to 700 feet. The transducer has a plastic housing secured inside the boat hull, filled with eco-friendly anti-freeze. Insert it into the housing and adjust for the right dead rise offset to ensure the beam shoots straight down. The liquid is the best medium to transmit through the fiberglass into the water. With no protruding parts on the hull exterior, it's ideal for smaller boats up to 25’ with solid core fiberglass hulls. Specifications: Beamwidth 25°, Depth range to 700’ (215 meters), Hull Deadrise adjustable 2° to 20°, Acoustic Window Urethane, CHIRP Frequency Range 150 - 250kHz. What's in the box: M285C-HW-MM, MMC-11R-HM.

Using the Airmar M285C-HW transducer is easy. First, secure the plastic housing inside your boat's hull. Then, fill it with the eco - friendly anti - freeze provided. Insert the transducer into the housing and adjust it for the proper dead rise offset so that the beam shoots straight down. When you're out fishing, this transducer will work well in both offshore and inshore waters, especially in shallow and murky areas up to 700 feet deep. Just turn it on and let it do its job of giving you clear target resolution. As for maintenance, keep an eye on the liquid level in the housing. If it gets low, refill it with the appropriate anti - freeze. Also, check the connections regularly to make sure they're secure. When storing the boat, make sure the transducer is protected from extreme temperatures and physical damage. Remember, this transducer is designed for smaller boats up to 25’ with solid core fiberglass hulls, so don't use it on boats outside of this specification.
