Using these Ancor heat shrink ring terminals is easy. First, select the appropriate terminal based on your wire gauge (22 - 18 AWG) and screw size (3/8'). Slide the terminal onto the stripped end of the wire. Then, use a heat gun to apply heat evenly around the terminal. Once the heat - activated adhesive starts to flow and the tubing shrinks to 1/3 of its original size (at 257°F/125°C), you've got a great connection. Make sure to work in a well - ventilated area because of the warning about the chemicals. For maintenance, keep them in a dry place. If they get wet, dry them thoroughly. Also, check the connections periodically to ensure they're still tight and there's no sign of corrosion.
