Product Detail
The BEP Triple Engine Smart Battery Hub (Model: 80-716-0031-00) is a revolutionary battery management system for vessels with multiple engines. It features remotely operated magnetic latching and emergency parallel switches, configurable dual direction voltage sensitive switches, and comprehensive battery monitoring. With battery voltage and house battery state of charge monitoring, plus two additional sensor inputs, you'll have full control. It also has a safety manual override for all battery switches, suitable for 12 or 24 volt systems. You can even parallel two units for 4, 5, or 6 engine installations. This innovative system simplifies battery management. It comes in a robust, easy-to-install, ignition-protected IPX7 enclosure. The VSS voltage thresholds can be configured for each installation, and switch inputs can be assigned to any function. The Smart Battery Hub monitors and transmits individual battery voltages and house bank state of charge over NMEA2000, integrating easily with multi-function displays. Remote battery switching can be done via NMEA2000 or wired switches, with a physical manual override for safety and servicing. Specifications: Max power consumption is 92mA, sleep power consumption is less than 3.5mA. It has 1 x NMEA 2000 Micro-C port and 1 LEN for NMEA2000 connectivity, a 5-year warranty, an operating temperature range of -15C to +55C (-5F to +131F), and a storage temperature range of -40C to +85C (-40F to +185F). Dimensions are 14.310 x 10.841 x 6.280'. It outputs Fluid Level, Pressure, Temperature, Battery Volts, and State of Charge over NMEA2000, monitors battery voltage, house current draw, and house state of charge. It has IPX7 ingress protection, a nominal voltage of 12 or 24V, a continuous rating of 300A, an intermittent rating of 700A, and a cranking rating of 1450A. There are 3 x Master switch inputs, 2 x Analogue Inputs, and 1 x Battery temperature sensor.
Using the BEP Triple Engine Smart Battery Hub is easy. First, install it in a suitable place on your vessel according to the installation guide. Connect it to your batteries and other relevant devices as instructed. You can operate the remote - controlled switches via NMEA2000 or wired switches. To change the VSS voltage thresholds, access the configuration settings. For safety, always use the manual override option if needed during servicing or in an emergency. When it comes to maintenance, keep the unit clean and dry. Check the connections regularly to make sure they are tight. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures outside its specified operating and storage ranges. If you notice any abnormal power consumption or other issues, refer to the troubleshooting section in the manual or contact customer support. With proper use and maintenance, this battery hub will serve you well for a long time.
