The Blue Sea Systems 285-Series 25A circuit breaker is a great choice for your boat. Model 7080-BSS can directly replace 185-Series circuit breakers. It features a visible reset lever that clearly shows the open condition. This breaker combines switching and circuit breaker functions in one unit (but don't use it as a switch for high inrush currents). It's 'trip free', meaning it can't be held closed after tripping. Using this circuit breaker is easy. First, make sure the power is off before installation. Mount it on a flat surface following the surface mount instructions. Connect the wires to the M6 terminal studs and tighten them to the recommended 60 in-lb (6.78 Nm) torque. When the breaker trips, you'll see the visible reset lever indicating the open condition. Just press the lever to reset it. Remember, don't use it as a switch when high inrush currents are expected. For maintenance, check the breaker regularly for any signs of damage or wear.
