It's designed to protect your circuits and can also act as a switch in most cases. But remember, don't use it as a switch when there are high inrush currents expected. If the breaker trips, you'll see the visible reset lever indicating the open condition. Simply reset it once the issue is resolved. Keep it in an environment within the -40°C to 85°C temperature range. Since it's weather resistant, it can handle some exposure, but try to avoid extreme conditions.
