Beckson pioneered the pry-out deck plate. These plates come with an extra-heavy O-ring for a watertight seal. You can choose between non-skid or smooth surfaces based on your installation needs. The original design was for accessing the handle of Beckson's permanently mounted pump. The Beckson Diamond Pattern deck plate spans the center, preventing dirt and debris from collecting around the edge. The clear center allows you to easily observe controls or gauges without removing the plate. Install pry-out plates in areas without internal pressure. Using this Beckson pry-out deck plate is easy. First, make sure the installation area doesn't have internal pressure. Then, choose the non-skid or smooth surface according to your preference. When you need to check the controls or gauges, just look through the clear center without removing the plate. As for maintenance, clean the plate regularly to prevent dirt buildup. Also, check the O-ring from time to time to ensure a watertight fit. If the O-ring shows signs of wear, replace it promptly.
