Blue Sea Systems presents the 285-Series 50A circuit breaker for panel mounting, model 7083-BSS. It's a great replacement for 185-Series circuit breakers. Using this Blue Sea 285-Series circuit breaker is easy. First, make sure you mount it on a flat surface as it's a surface-mount type. Connect the wires to the M6 terminal studs and tighten them to 60 in-lb (6.78 Nm) of torque. When the breaker trips, the reset lever will show the open condition. Simply reset it to get the power back. This breaker is great for gasoline-powered boats as it's ignition protected, but always follow local safety regulations. Don't use it as a switch when you expect high inrush currents. To keep it in good shape, check it regularly for any signs of damage or wear. Keep it clean and dry, especially since it's weather resistant. If you notice any issues, replace it right away.
