The Easyfit Battery Switch is designed for installations where switches need to fit through panels of different thicknesses. Thanks to an easily removable threaded ring, it can handle panel thicknesses up to 3/4' (19 mm). This switch shares features with the 701, including a removable key 45 degrees past the off position, a labeled handle, and a removable back cover for exposed terminals, meeting ABYC specifications. It can be surface - mounted, presenting a unique look compared to other market switches. BEP Marine Battery Switch undergoes UL 1107 test procedures: continuous (1 hour), intermittent (5 minutes), and cranking (engine starting - 10 seconds). The test determines the maximum current the switch can handle within the stated time without the rear terminals exceeding 100 deg C (212 deg F) above the ambient temperature. Continuous and intermittent ratings are tested at 110 percent of specified ratings. All BEP switches are independently tested to this specification by a third - party laboratory.
