Extra Large Wincher Pair
The Barton Wincher is an ingenious rubber molding. It can turn your regular winch into a self - tailing winch, a design that sailors have loved for years.
When the drum is full and under tension, the Wincher grips the rope. As you winch, it peels the line from the underside, giving a real self - tailing action.
You can easily cleat the sheet by locking it into the Wincher’s ribbed central groove.

Using the Barton Wincher is quite easy. First, make sure your winch's drum diameter is between 3.5' and 4' (90 to 100 mm), and the rope diameter is at most between .47' and .63' (12 to 16 mm). When the drum is fully loaded and under tension, the Wincher will grip the rope automatically. As you start to winch, the line will peel off from the underside of the Wincher, providing a self - tailing motion. To cleat the sheet, simply lock it into the ribbed central groove. When it comes to maintenance, regularly check the rubber molding for any signs of wear and tear. If you notice any damage, it's a good idea to replace the Wincher. Also, keep it clean to ensure it functions properly. Note that this product is sold as a pair.
