Product Detail

The Airmar SS175C-20-H 20d Tilt High CHIRP transducer is a great choice for smaller boats up to 11 m (36'). It features a depth and fast - response water - temperature sensor. With 1 kW power, it can reach a maximum depth of 304 m (1000'). The high frequency range from 130 kHz to 210 kHz with a 10° to 6° beamwidth and 80 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer offers excellent shallow - water performance, clear bottom details, and good fish target separation. The stainless - steel housing fits all hull types and materials, and there's also a bronze housing (B175H) model. It uses exclusive Xducer ID® technology. Its low - profile design is perfect for center consoles. The low - frequency band performs well in deep water. When installed almost flush to the hull, the tilt corrects for hull deadrise to maximize echo returns. Specifications include a weight of 2.7 kg (6 lb), 16° to 24° hull deadrise, a urethane acoustic window, and a 98 mm (3 - 7/8') hole size with one internal ceramic assembly.

Using the Airmar SS175C - 20 - H transducer is easy. First, find a suitable spot on your boat's hull. Make sure the hull deadrise is between 16° and 24°. Drill a 98 mm (3 - 7/8') hole and install the transducer almost flush to the hull. The tilt feature will automatically correct for the hull deadrise to get the best echo returns. When you're out on the water, this transducer will give you accurate depth and water - temperature readings. It works well in both shallow and deep waters. For maintenance, keep the acoustic window (made of urethane) clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe it gently. Avoid using abrasive materials that could damage the window. Also, check the housing regularly for any signs of damage, especially if you have the stainless - steel or bronze housing. If you notice any issues, contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
