Product Detail

The Airmar SS175C-12-M is a top - notch depth and water - temperature sensor. With 1 kW power, it can reach a maximum depth of 457 m (1500'). Operating at a medium frequency from 85 kHz to 135 kHz, it offers a 16° to 11° beamwidth and a total bandwidth of 50 kHz from one transducer. This frequency range gives excellent performance from shallow to mid - depth waters, providing clear bottom details and good fish target separation. It's perfect for boats up to 11 m (36'). The stainless - steel housing is compatible with all hull types and materials, and there's also a bronze housing option (B175M). It features exclusive Xducer ID® technology. Medium frequency ensures great coverage under the boat, an extended depth range, and clean, accurate target and structure returns in mid to deeper waters. The tilted element (fixed at 20°, 12° or 0°) corrects for hull deadrise when installed almost flush to the hull, maximizing echo returns. Specifications: Weight 2.7 kg (6 lb), Hull Deadrise up to 24°, Acoustic Window Urethane, Hole Size 98 mm (3 - 7/8'), and one internal ceramic assembly.

Using the Airmar SS175C - 12 - M is easy. First, make sure to choose the right tilt angle (20°, 12° or 0°) according to your boat's hull deadrise. Install it almost flush to the hull so that the tilt corrects the angle and gets the best echo returns. When using, turn it on and let it start detecting the water depth and temperature. It works well for boats up to 11 m long. As for maintenance, keep the transducer clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe the acoustic window made of urethane. Check the housing regularly for any signs of damage, especially if you hit something in the water. If you have any issues, don't try to open the internal ceramic assembly yourself. Just contact the manufacturer or a professional technician. Also, note that the maximum hull deadrise it can handle is 24°, so don't use it on boats with a steeper deadrise.
