Product Detail

The Airmar SS175C-12-M 12d Tilt Medium CHIRP transducer with Navico 9-Pin is a top - notch depth and water - temperature sensor. With 1 kW power, it can reach a maximum depth of 457 m (1500'). Operating at a medium frequency from 85 kHz to 135 kHz, it offers a beamwidth of 16° to 11° and a total bandwidth of 50 kHz from one transducer. This frequency range is great for shallow to mid - depth performance, showing clear bottom details and separating fish targets. It's ideal for boats up to 11 m (36'). The stainless - steel housing fits all hull types and materials, and a bronze housing (B175M) is also available. It comes with exclusive Xducer ID® technology. The medium frequency provides a perfect balance of boat coverage, extended depth range, and accurate target returns in mid to deep waters. Tilted at 12°, it corrects for hull deadrise up to 24°. Weighing 2.7 kg (6 lb), it has a 98 mm (3 - 7/8') hole size and an urethane acoustic window with one internal ceramic assembly.

Using this Airmar transducer is easy. First, choose the right location on your boat. It's suitable for boats up to 11 m long. Make sure the hull deadrise is up to 24°. Drill a 98 mm hole and install the transducer almost flush to the hull. The 12° tilt will correct for the hull deadrise. Connect it using the Navico 9 - Pin. When using, it will give you depth and water - temperature readings. You can see fish at medium depths up to 1500'. For maintenance, clean the acoustic window (made of urethane) regularly with a soft cloth. Avoid hitting the transducer, especially the ceramic assembly inside. Store it in a dry place when not in use. This will keep your transducer working well for a long time.
