The Airmar B175C-0-H-MM is a high - frequency CHIRP transducer. It's a depth and fast - response water - temperature sensor. With a high CHIRP range from 150 kHz to 210 kHz, it offers 80 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer. It covers the popular 200 kHz fishing frequency. Ideal for boats 8 m (25’) and above, and suitable for fiberglass or wood hulls. The ceramic elements are permanently tilted inside the housing to compensate for hull deadrise, ensuring the beam is aimed straight down for maximum echo returns. Flush/tilted transducers mount through a hole in fiberglass, metal, or wooden hulls. High frequency provides greater detail, perfect for shallower water and anglers fishing less than 1500 feet. Using this Airmar transducer is easy. First, find a suitable spot on your boat's hull (it works with fiberglass, metal, or wood hulls). Drill a hole and mount the transducer so the outside of the fitting is flush against the hull. Once installed, connect it to your echosounder. When using, keep in mind it's best for boats 8 m (25’) and above and works well in shallower water, less than 1500 feet. For maintenance, regularly check the connection to ensure it's secure. Clean the transducer with a soft cloth and mild cleaner. Avoid using abrasive materials that could damage the acoustic window. Store it in a dry place when not in use to prevent damage from moisture.
