Product Detail

Airmar has transformed the fishing scene with its innovative transducer designs, and the new Chirp-ready B175 Medium Ultra-Wide (MW) Tilted Element™ Thru-hull transducer is no exception. This transducer uses medium frequency (60 - 100 kHz) and offers an amazing ultra-wide beamwidth of 57 - 73° port-starboard and 16° average fore-aft, giving maximum coverage under the boat. It's great for anglers targeting pelagic species in the upper water column. Airmar’s new Medium Ultra-Wide models, with a frequency band from 60 - 100 kHz, are perfect for finding deeper species. When paired with models like the B275LHW, it gives anglers a wide range of frequencies to detect targets from deep to shallow waters. The B175MW Tilted Element Thru-hull is a 1 kW transducer in one of AIRMAR’s popular Tilted Element housings, with a ceramic element fixed at a 20°, 12° or 0° angle. Installed almost flush to the hull, the tilted element corrects for hull deadrise and orients the ceramic element vertically for maximum echo returns. Features include a depth and fast-response water-temperature sensor, 1 kW power with depth tracking down to 400 m (1,300'), a medium frequency of 60 - 100 kHz, a 57° to 73° beamwidth (port/starboard), 16° average fore/aft, 40 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer, excellent mid-depth performance and fish-target separation, a bronze housing for different hull types, a low-profile thru-hull housing for good resolution at speed when installed correctly, and exclusive Xducer ID® technology. Note: This product may not be returned to the original point of purchase. Contact the manufacturer directly for any issues. Specifications: 12-Pin connector, box dimensions 8'H x 10'W x 12'L, weight 9.9 lbs.

Using this Airmar B175 transducer is easy. First, install it almost flush to the hull following the instructions that come with it. Make sure the ceramic element is oriented correctly according to the hull deadrise. Once installed, connect it to your Garmin device using the 12 - pin connector. When you're out fishing, the transducer will start working right away, giving you information about the depth and water temperature. It can track depth down to 400 m (1,300'), so you can explore different water levels. Remember, this product can't be returned to the place you bought it from. If you have any problems, contact the manufacturer directly. For maintenance, keep the transducer clean. After each use, rinse it with fresh water to remove any salt or debris. Check the housing regularly for any signs of damage. If you notice any cracks or issues with the ceramic element, it's best to have it checked by a professional. This will ensure your transducer keeps working well and gives you accurate information for many fishing trips to come.
