These terminals feature cross-linked polyolefin tubing, stronger than PVC and non-flammable. The heat-activated adhesive lining seals out salt water, oil, acids, and sunlight, while providing strain relief. With a nylon insulator, they offer top-notch Marine Grade™ resistance to various elements. UL Listed and CSA Recognized, they have the highest shrink ratio, shrinking to 1/3 of their original size at 257°F/125°C. They operate in a temperature range of 40°C to 110°C. Ancor's heat shrink connectors have built-in adhesive for a watertight seal and excellent vibration and strain relief. Tinned for corrosion resistance, made of pure copper for maximum current flow, and with a brazed seam for strength.

Using these Ancor heat shrink ring terminals is easy. First, make sure your wire gauge is between 12 - 10 AWG. Slip the terminal over the wire and then use a heat source to heat the terminal. The heat will activate the adhesive lining inside the heat shrink tubing, creating a watertight seal. Heat until the tubing shrinks to about 1/3 of its original size, which usually happens at 257°F/125°C. Be careful when heating as the temperature can get high. Remember, this product can expose you to harmful chemicals, so avoid direct contact and use in a well - ventilated area. For maintenance, keep them in a dry place to prevent corrosion. The tinned coating helps with corrosion resistance, but it's still a good idea to protect them from moisture and harsh environments. If you notice any damage to the terminals or the tubing, replace them right away to ensure proper function.
