The BoatLIFE 2.8 FL. Oz. Black Liquid Life-Calk Sealant Tube offers the same great properties as Life-Calk® Sealant. It's long-lasting, permanently flexible, and can be sanded and painted (though not compatible with all paints like Sikkens, Cetol, Deks, Olje). It can be used above and below the waterline. It becomes tack-free in 1 to 3 days and has excellent resistance to teak oils, gasoline, and diesel fuel. Ideal for teak decks, deck and hull hardware, thru-hull fittings, and underwater seams. It bonds well to fiberglass, wood, metal, glass, and itself. It cures to a firm, flexible rubber seal with great waterproofing and adhesion. It can be applied to damp surfaces. This low-viscosity, free-flowing polysulfide sealant is perfect for fine cracks and seams. Using this BoatLIFE sealant is easy. First, make sure the surface is clean. You can apply it to damp surfaces too. Just squeeze the sealant from the tube onto the fine cracks or seams you want to seal, like those on teak decks or underwater seams. It'll start to cure and become a firm, flexible rubber seal. Remember, it's tack-free in 1 to 3 days. You can sand and paint it later, but be aware it's not compatible with some paints like Sikkens, Cetol, Deks, Olje.
