The USB variant offers quick and easy PC connectivity for software needing NMEA 0183 data. This low - power device gets power directly from the NMEA 2000 network, no need for an independent power supply. It also allows safe NMEA 2000 data transmission between a PC and the NMEA 2000 network. Feature - rich software can replace or complement hardware like MFDs or Chart Plotters. As an NMEA 2000 to PC Gateway, it acts as a firewall, giving you full control over data. It can transfer all available NMEA 2000 PGNs to PC apps. Using the Actisense NGX - 1 is quite simple. First, connect it to your NMEA 2000 network and it will get powered automatically as it's low - power.
