Ensure a waterproof splice by using Ancor adhesive lined heat shrink tubing over the connection. For proper crimping, use Ancor lug crimper.
Using this Ancor 2/0AWG tinned butt connector is easy. First, make sure to use an Ancor lug crimper to properly crimp the connector. Then, place Ancor adhesive lined heat shrink tubing over the connection. Heat it up to complete the splice and make it waterproof. As for maintenance, keep the connectors dry. If they get wet, dry them thoroughly to avoid corrosion. When not in use, store them in a cool, dry place. Don't use them with tools that aren't recommended, as this can lead to improper connections.
