Product Detail

Digital Yacht presents the DIGAIT2500 Class B+ SOTDMA AIS transponder, model ZDIGAIT2500. This new 5W Class B+ transponder features GPS/GLONASS positioning. It offers multiple NMEA 0183 in/out and multiplex capabilities, NMEA 2000 connectivity, and USB connectivity for PC/MAC. There's also a remote TX silence switch option. It comes with a GPS antenna. Class B+ is a new standard using SOTDMA format transmissions. It has a 5W power output, 2.5 times more powerful than regular Class B. It guarantees a transmission time - slot in busy areas and has faster update rates based on vessel speed. Ideal for ocean sailors, fast power boats, and small non - mandated commercial vessels, it also works with existing Class B and Class A systems. The AIT2500 is a full - function SOTDMA AIS transponder with NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, and USB data outputs. It requires connection to a VHF antenna or a suitable VHF - AIS antenna splitter. It also has an optional AIS SART alarm, perfect for use with personal AIS MOB devices.

Using the Digital Yacht AIT2500 is quite straightforward. First, connect the supplied GPS antenna. Then, link it to a VHF antenna or a VHF - AIS antenna splitter. Once connected, you can start using its features like multiple NMEA outputs and USB connectivity for your PC or MAC. When in busy traffic areas, it'll automatically use its guaranteed transmission time - slot. As for personal AIS MOB devices, you can activate the optional AIS SART alarm. For maintenance, keep it in a dry place and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. Regularly check the connections to make sure they're secure. If you're using it on a boat, make sure the power supply is stable and follow all relevant maritime safety regulations.
