Using your Attwood 8 - inch fold - down dock cleat is easy. When you arrive at the dock, simply flip the cleat up from its folded position. Then, you can tie your small boat or watercraft securely to it using a suitable rope. To install the cleat, find a suitable spot on your dock. Keep in mind that you'll need to provide two standard 3/8 - inch carriage bolts (not included). Drill holes in the dock and fasten the cleat using the bolts.
