This circuit breaker has a 5,000 Ampere interrupt capacity, meeting ABYC requirements for 120/240 Volt 50 Ampere main protection. The double pole can be used as a 120-volt AC main circuit breaker to switch hot to neutral, while the triple pole serves as a 240-volt AC main circuit breaker to switch lines (hot) and neutral. If any one pole trips, all poles of the double and triple pole circuit breakers will trip. It has a Trip Free design that can't be held ON during a fault current condition.
