This circuit breaker has a 5,000 Ampere interrupt capacity, meeting ABYC requirements for 120/240 Volt 50 Ampere main protection. The double pole can be used as a 120 volt AC main circuit breaker to switch hot to neutral, and the triple pole can be used as a 240 volt AC main circuit breaker to switch lines (hot) and neutral. All poles of double and triple pole circuit breakers will trip if any one pole trips. Its 'Trip Free' design ensures it can't be held ON during a fault current condition.
