Using this Blue Sea circuit breaker is straightforward. First, choose a suitable panel for mounting and use #10 (M5) screws as the breaker's mounting holes accept them. Connect heavy gauge wire lugs to the terminal studs, which have ample clearance and are 5/16' - 18 in size. The 5/16 M8 terminals can provide high torque connections, so make sure to tighten them with a torque of 75 in-lb (8.47 Nm).
The large lever on the breaker shows its trip status. You can operate it vertically or horizontally. The 'Trip Free' design ensures that the breaker won't stay 'ON' during a fault current, protecting your circuit.
This breaker is waterproof, which means it can work well in wet conditions. It's also ignition-protected, so it's safe to use on gasoline-powered boats. But remember, don't use it as a switch when high inrush currents are expected.
In terms of maintenance, keep the breaker clean and check it regularly for any signs of damage. The operating temperature range is from -40° C to 85° C. Make sure the breaker operates within this temperature range. And be aware that this product contains chemicals that may cause health issues, so always follow the safety warnings.
