Product Detail

The Arco Marine BI-3202 is an amazing inboard/outboard battery isolator. It can manage 2 alternators, 2 batteries, and has a max capacity of 120A. It's suitable for 10 to 350 - amp alternators on 12, 24, or 32 - volt negative ground systems. Key features include: it allows current to flow in one direction only, so you don't have to worry about higher - charged batteries discharging into lower - charged ones. Both batteries get charged automatically according to their needs when the engine runs. When used with selector switches, you don't need to change switch positions for charging both batteries. It also proportions the alternator's output or charging current to the batteries as needed, regardless of the switch position. Note: It can't be used on 12 - volt charging systems with 24 - volt trolling motors or newer outboard engines with rectifier - regulator charging systems. This product can't be returned to the original purchase point. Contact the manufacturer directly for issues. Quick Guide (pdf).

Using the Arco Marine BI - 3202 battery isolator is easy. First, make sure your system meets the requirements: it works with 10 to 350 - amp alternators on 12, 24, or 32 - volt negative ground systems. Connect the isolator to 2 alternators and 2 batteries. Once the engine starts running, the isolator will automatically charge both batteries according to their needs. You don't have to worry about one battery discharging into another because the isolator allows current to flow in one direction only. If you use it with selector switches, you don't need to change the switch position for charging both batteries. When it comes to maintenance, there isn't much you need to do. Just keep it clean and check the connections regularly. Remember, you can't use this isolator on 12 - volt charging systems with 24 - volt trolling motors or newer outboard engines with rectifier - regulator charging systems. And if you have any problems, contact the manufacturer directly instead of returning it to the original purchase point.
