When mounting, this alternator can replace most domestic - style alternators with a single 1' or 2' mounting foot. Just remember to upgrade your belt to a double 'V' belt or a Serpentine System. For maintenance, keep an eye on the operating temperature. Thanks to its special heat - shedding features, it runs cooler than many other alternators, but try not to let it exceed the maximum continuous operating temperature of 110°C / 230°F. Check the battery post regularly for any signs of corrosion or loose connections. Also, the pulley hardware is included, so make sure it's properly tightened during installation.
