Product Detail

The MA800 passive GPS antenna is designed for AIS transponders (P/No. X500.391). It's compatible with all current Digital Yacht AIS Transponders like AIT2000, AIT2500, AIT3000, AIT5000, CLA1000, and CLA2000. It also works with the discontinued AIT250 and AIT1000, though its size and shape differ from the original antenna. This antenna is a great replacement for many GPS receivers and chart plotters. You can remove the base for puck mounting or attach it to any 1” mounting accessory (sold separately) for pole, deck, bracket, and rail mounting. It comes with a 33' cable ended with a slim FME connector and an FME - TNC adaptor. Key features include 5/16' diameter bolt holes with 3' x 1 - 1/2' on center, a special cable slot to avoid removing most factory - installed connectors, a standard 1 in - 14 male thread, stainless - steel build, and heavy - duty construction. Specifications: Antenna Band is AIS, it's white in color, and it belongs to the antennas type. The box dimensions are 2'H x 8'W x 9'L and it weighs 1.2 lbs. UPC is 081159830373.

Using the Digital Yacht MA800 GPS antenna is straightforward. First, decide on your mounting preference. You can remove the base for puck mounting or use it with the base attached to a 1” mounting accessory for different setups like on a pole, deck, bracket, or rail. Make sure to connect the 33' cable with the slim FME connector to your device. If needed, use the FME - TNC adaptor. When it comes to maintenance, keep the antenna clean and dry. Since it's made of stainless steel, it's quite durable, but avoid exposing it to extreme physical impacts. Also, check the cable regularly for any signs of wear and tear. And note that while it's compatible with many AIS transponders, including some discontinued models, the size and shape are different from the original antennas.
