Unpack the kit and find all the parts: two 12 - volt adjustable upper hinge actuators with 6' wire harnesses and waterproof connectors, two stainless steel trim planes and mounting plates, and two 20' wire harnesses with waterproof connectors. Install the actuators and the trim planes according to the included instructions. Remember that the controls are sold separately, so you'll need to get those if you don't have them already. As for maintenance, keep an eye on the stainless - steel parts for any signs of rust. Since the product has a great seal design, it should last a long time, but if you notice any water getting in, check the waterproof connectors.
