Quick Guide (pdf)
Using these ANCOR heat shrink butt connectors is easy. First, select the right connector for your 16 - 14 AWG wire. Insert the wire into both ends of the connector. Then, use a heat gun to apply heat evenly around the connector. The heat shrink tubing will start to shrink at 257°F/125°C and form a tight, watertight seal. Make sure to heat it until it reaches the highest shrink ratio of 1/3 of its original size. As for maintenance, keep these connectors in a dry place. They can withstand a wide operating temperature range from 40°C to 110°C, but avoid exposing them to extreme conditions. Also, be aware that this product can expose you to harmful chemicals.
