Using these Ancor heat shrink butt connectors is easy. First, select the right connector for your 12 - 10 AWG wires. Strip the ends of the wires and insert them into both ends of the connector. Then, use a heat gun to apply heat evenly around the connector. The heat shrink tubing will start to shrink at 257°F (125°C) and form a tight, watertight seal. Remember, these connectors are tinned for corrosion resistance and have a pure copper core for maximum current flow. When handling, be aware that this product can expose you to certain chemicals, so follow the warning instructions. For storage, keep them in a dry place within the operating temperature range of -40°C to 110°C. If you need to remove the connection, carefully cut the heat shrink tubing. But in general, these connectors are designed for long - term, reliable use.
