Product Detail

This ARCO marine starter is designed for Johnson/Evinrude outboards. It fits BRP-OMC, V6, V8 loop engines with 115 - 300 HP E-TEC and a 10-tooth drive gear. ARCO recommends using a fully charged battery as a weak one can harm the starter and solenoid. Also, clean all connections to avoid resistance and ensure efficient starting. The starter features dynamic testing for great out-of-the-box performance, nickel coating and epoxy painting to reduce corrosion, sealing to minimize water intrusion, long life design, and armatures tested to withstand 50 times 12 volts operating voltage. All ARCO products come with a 12-month warranty for leisure use and 90 days for commercial or racing applications. You can add an extra year of warranty by registering your rotating electric ARCO product within 30 days of purchase at arcomarine.com/product-registration. It replaces multiple BRP-OMC models. Note that this product cannot be returned to the original point of purchase; contact the manufacturer directly for issues.

Using this ARCO marine starter is simple. First, make sure your battery is fully charged. A weak battery can cause damage to the starter and the solenoid, so it's important to keep it in good condition. Also, clean all the connections regularly. Corroded connections can create resistance, which affects the starting efficiency. When installing, follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully. This starter is designed to fit specific Johnson/Evinrude outboard engines with 10-tooth drive gears. For maintenance, since it's nickel-coated and epoxy-painted, it has good corrosion resistance. But still, try to keep it dry as it's sealed to minimize water intrusion. If you have any problems, remember this product can't be returned to the place of purchase. Instead, contact the manufacturer directly. And don't forget, you can get an extra year of warranty by registering your product within 30 days of buying it at arcomarine.com/product-registration.
