Using the ACR Survival Res - Q Whistle is easy. Just put it to your lips and blow hard to produce a loud, shrill dual - tone that can be heard from a great distance. You can attach the 31.5' (80 cm) lanyard to your life jacket, raft, or other weather gear so it's always within reach. When using it, make sure to keep it dry as much as possible. After each use, especially if it gets wet, dry it thoroughly. Store it in a cool, dry place.
