Product Detail

The Digital Antenna 544-SSWR-S is a high-performance 16' white SSB antenna with a pre-installed Rupp collar. It features powerful brass radiators, soldered connections, a centering foam insulator, a high gloss urethane finish, and a 316 stainless steel ferrule. Ideal for offshore vessel operators, it offers exceptional communication across the entire HF frequency range (a tuner is required). Built tough for rough seas, this antenna combines durability, performance, and great looks. The factory-installed patented Rupp locking collar makes installation easy, securely holding the antenna and allowing for convenient lowering. All Digital antennas are hand-assembled, tested, and tuned in the USA for top performance, quality, and durability. They're also UPS shippable. Specifications include an omni-directional radiation pattern, a max input power of 1000 watts, a white UV - stable poly - urethane coating, a 316 stainless steel ferrule, a 1/4'-20 stainless steel stud RF termination, a 95 mph wind rating, and the antenna length is 189.5'. The box includes the top section, bottom section, and the pre - installed Rupp collar.

How to use: First, make sure you have a tuner as this antenna must be used with one for proper operation across the HF frequency range. Install the antenna using the pre - installed Rupp collar. You'll need to buy RUPP mounting arms separately from a RUPP dealer. Once installed, connect the antenna to your radio system using the 1/4'-20 stainless steel stud RF termination. Note that the wire is not included, so you'll have to source it yourself. Maintenance tips: Since the antenna has a white UV - stable poly - urethane coating, it can withstand some sun exposure. But if it gets dirty, you can clean it gently with a mild soap and water solution. Check the soldered connections and the Rupp collar periodically for any signs of wear or looseness. Also, make sure the antenna is properly secured, especially in high - wind conditions as it has a 95 mph wind rating. When not in use, you can unlock the Rupp collar to lower the antenna. Keep in mind that all Digital antennas are made in the USA and hand - assembled for quality, so handle it with care to ensure long - term performance.
