Product Detail
The OLAS Exposure Series MOB Float-On Light is a game-changer for boating safety. It's a buoyant, compact, and 'Smart' man overboard system that integrates OLAS technology with an LED flashlight and a water-activated strobe. The OLAS mobile app detects a transmitter loss within 8 seconds, triggering an alarm on your phone and recording the incident's GPS location. This helps the crew quickly recover the person overboard. The high-power strobe, visible up to 3 nautical miles away, flashes for up to 20 hours, providing extra safety in low light. You can easily attach it to adults, children, pets, or objects like floatation devices. It's small and portable, allowing you to take it from boat to boat. With Solo mode on the app, you'll be safe even when boating alone as it texts an emergency contact with your GPS coordinates if you separate from the boat. One phone or tablet can track up to 6 OLAS transmitters, and each transmitter can be tracked by unlimited devices. Expand the system with the CORE base station or Guardian Engine Kill Switch to monitor up to 15 transmitters. The OLAS Float-On has a robust yet convenient design with a feature button easy to find in the dark. The LED light works as a flashlight and provides all-around visibility. It can be stowed in safety gear or a lifejacket pocket. OLAS offers scalable solutions for all boating needs, covering vessels up to 40 feet. It's a cost-effective safety addition for everyone on board. Features include OLAS Free Mobile App Integration, LED Flashlight (Low/Med/High), Water Activated Strobe, Waterproof (IP67), Buoyant, Bluetooth® 4.1 Compatible, Battery Life Indicator, Fast charge (3 hours), and USB Rechargeable. You can also expand coverage using the OLAS EXTENDER. Using the OLAS Exposure Series MOB Float-On Light is easy. First, make sure the device is fully charged using the included USB cable. The battery charges in about 3 hours. You can attach it to yourself, your kids, pets, or objects like floatation devices with the provided lanyard. When you're on the boat, turn on the OLAS app on your phone or tablet and pair it with the Float-On. In normal use, the device will standby. If someone goes overboard, the app will detect the loss of the 'virtual tether' within 8 seconds and sound an alarm. It'll also record the GPS location of the incident. If you're boating alone, activate Solo mode in the app (a 2G phone signal is needed). In case you get separated from the boat, the app will text your emergency contact with your GPS coordinates. The LED flashlight has three power settings: low, medium, and high. You can use it to see objects in the distance. When the water sensors detect 6 seconds of water connection, the strobe light will automatically turn on. It flashes once every second for up to 20 hours and can be seen up to 3 nautical miles away. To keep the device in good condition, store it in a dry place when not in use. Since it's waterproof (IP67), you don't have to worry about it getting wet during normal use. But avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or rough handling. If you want to expand the system's coverage, you can add the CORE base station, Guardian Engine Kill Switch, or OLAS EXTENDER. Just follow the instructions that come with those accessories. Remember, this product can't be returned to the place you bought it from. If you have any problems or questions, contact the manufacturer directly.
