Product Detail

The OLAS Exposure Series Guardian is a remarkable small wireless engine kill switch. It springs into action within just two seconds when someone goes overboard, and it also doubles as an instant Man Overboard (MOB) alarm system. This Guardian can connect with up to 25 OLAS transmitters and cover vessels up to 50 feet. In the box, you'll find the Guardian, an OLAS Tag with battery, power connection wires, kill cord connection wires, a stainless - steel switch, a user guide, and 5 marine connectors. The OLAS Guardian is a game - changer for powerboat and RIB drivers. It lets them stop their boats instantly if the skipper or crew gets separated, preventing accidents from unmanned, uncontrolled vessels. No more constantly remembering to attach and detach a physical kill cord! It offers customizable tag modes. You can choose engine stop (acts as a kill cord without MOB alerts), MOB alert (alerts without cutting the engine), or engine stop + MOB alert (triggers alerts and cuts the engine). How does it work? The Guardian can track up to 25 OLAS transmitting devices within range around the vessel. It connects to a vessel's 12/24v power supply and existing kill switch easily using the provided connectors, and a 21mm hole is needed near the existing kill switch for the 20mm stainless - steel, LED control switch. While professional installation is not required, it's advisable as ACR Electronics won't take liability for incorrect installation. This product is for power and motor boat drivers, skippers, and boat owners concerned about onboard safety. It creates a virtual kill cord by wirelessly connecting up to 25 crew members via wearable OLAS transmitters. The core advantages are numerous. It can run alongside an existing kill switch, has an automatic restart after 5 seconds, an inbuilt 85db alarm, an inbuilt emergency light (if externally mounted), relay selection via the OLAS App, automatic connection, no - connection alert and override, a pause mode, and can connect up to 25 OLAS transmitters. It's also extender - compatible for larger vessels. The OLAS App, free for iOS and Android, offers powerful features to control the Guardian. You can monitor transmitters, customize names, check battery status, add transmitters, pause the system, adjust reaction time, switch between modes, and much more. The setup is straightforward. You can connect the Guardian module to the vessel's power supply, mount the switch through a 21mm hole, and use the color - coded control switch. The system also gives feedback on the number of connected transmitters. Features include OLAS Free Mobile App Integration, an ultra - bright red LED visual alarm, 85 db audible alarm, connectivity for up to 25 OLAS transmitters, waterproof design (IP67), Bluetooth technology, expandable coverage, 12/24V wired, color - coded control switch, automatic engine restart, relay selection, and more. Specifications include a size of 3.6” (H) x 3.5” (L) x 1.5” (W), a weight of 3.97 ounces (112.5 g), black and clear color, and many other details. This product may not be returned to the original point of purchase. Contact the manufacturer directly for any issues.

Using the OLAS Exposure Series Guardian is a breeze. First, connect the Guardian module to your vessel's 12/24v power supply. You can splice the power wires into an existing power supply from the boat's battery. Then, find a spot near the existing kill switch to drill a 21mm hole for the 20mm stainless - steel, LED control switch. Once it's installed, press the button once to turn it on. The Guardian will automatically connect to any activated OLAS transmitters within a 2 - meter range. You can use the OLAS App to customize the settings, like choosing which transmitters should trigger the engine cut - off or just the alarm. When you're on board and the power is on, make sure the transmitters are switched on. If no transmitters are on, the Guardian will sound an alert, but you can either connect a transmitter or manually switch it off. You can also use the pause mode when you need to leave the boat with the engine idling. Remember, while professional installation isn't required, it's a good idea to avoid any installation mistakes. Also, use a 1 - 3 Amp fuse (not supplied). To maintain the product, keep it dry as it's waterproof (IP67), but avoid unnecessary exposure to water. Check the battery status of the OLAS transmitters regularly through the app. If you have any issues, don't return it to the original point of purchase. Instead, contact the manufacturer directly.
