Using this stanchion cleat is a breeze. First, find the stanchion or pushpit/pulpit tube you want to attach it to. Then, simply place the cleat on the tube and it'll fit in seconds. When using, make sure the tube size doesn't exceed 1 inch (25mm) to ensure a proper fit. As for maintenance, since it's made of nylon, you can clean it with mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the soft nylon jaws. Store it in a dry place when not in use to keep it in good condition.
