Using the Barton Marine Quick Cleat is really easy. First, if you're installing it on your inflatable, use the multi - weather adhesive to glue the Hypalon patch with the cleat onto the desired spot. Make sure the surface is clean for a good bond. When you want to secure a rope, simply rotate the lever on top of the cleat. Insert the rope into the cleat and then release the lever. The cleat will grip the rope firmly, and you can adjust the tension in one direction. It's great for all kinds of inflatables like RIBs, paddleboards, and kayaks. You can use it to hold fenders, tender lines, and other boat gear. As for maintenance, keep it clean from dirt and debris. If it gets wet, dry it properly. Don't expose it to extremely high temperatures above 113°F (45°C) as the adhesive might be affected. Also, when not in use, store it in a dry place. This way, your Quick Cleat will last a long time and keep working well for all your boating needs.
