Using this Blue Sea 5001 fuse block is quite easy. First, make sure your system voltage is up to 32V DC. Connect the wires to the 5/16' stud terminals which can accept 5/16' (M8) Ring Terminals and wires from 14AWG to 2/0 AWG. The insert - molded studs will hold the fuse securely in place. Remember, this product has an insulating cover that meets ABYC/USCG requirements, and it has breakouts so you can access the wires from any direction. As for maintenance, keep an eye on the stainless steel studs as they resist corrosion. Also, since the base can withstand high heat, you don't have to worry too much about overheating.
