Using your Attwood Mooring Fender Lock Kit is super easy. First, install the two flush - mount stainless steel mounting plates on the gunwale of your boat. You'll need to use stainless steel screws or bolts (not included) for this. Next, tie your fenders to the stainless steel keys. Once that's done, twist the keys into the installed deck plates to secure the fenders in place. When you're moving or docking, there's no need to untie the fenders. Just twist the key to remove or reinstall them. Make sure to check the kit regularly for any signs of wear and tear. If you notice any damage to the stainless steel parts, replace them as soon as possible. To keep your kit in top shape, clean it with a mild soap and water solution after each use. Also, dry it thoroughly to prevent rusting. Remember, the fender line is sold separately, so you'll need to get the right one with up to 1/2 - inch diameter to fit the kit.
