The ACR ResQFlare LNK - ERS1 is a top - notch high - intensity LED electronic distress flare. Using the ACR ResQFlare LNK - ERS1 is easy. First, insert two user - replaceable C - Cell alkaline batteries into the flare. When in distress at night, simply activate the flare, and it will start emitting a bright 360° light. For daytime signaling, use the included distress flag. You can attach it to the mast of your boat, hoist it as high as possible, wave it by hand, or lay it flat on the deck to attract aircraft. Remember to make sure the black square is over the black circle when displaying the flag. When it comes to maintenance, keep the flare dry and clean. Check the battery level regularly and replace the batteries when they are low. Store the flare in a cool and dry place. The ResQFlare is designed to be durable, but avoid exposing it to extreme heat, fire, or harsh chemicals.
