Using this Blue Sea 5046 fuse block is easy. First, make sure the cover is securely in place to get ignition protection, especially if you're using it in a gasoline engine compartment. You can connect your wires from one side thanks to the single - side design. When mounting, use #8 screws (M4). Tighten the terminal stud to 24 in - lb (2.71 Nm) and the screw terminals to 18 in - lb (2.03 Nm). The fuse block accepts ring or snap fork type terminals, and it comes with 8 write - on circuit labels to help you keep track of your circuits. Remember, fuses are sold separately, so you'll need to buy them according to your needs. For maintenance, check the insulating cover regularly to make sure it still meets ABYC/USCG insulation requirements. Also, look at the tin - plated copper buses and fuse clips for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any issues, it's best to replace the parts as soon as possible.
