Product Detail

The BEP Twin Engine Smart Battery Hub (Model: 80-716-0030-00) is a revolutionary battery management system for vessels with two or more outboards, sterndrives, or inboard engines. It features remotely operated magnetic latching and emergency parallel switches, configurable dual direction voltage sensitive switches, and comprehensive battery monitoring. With battery voltage and house battery state of charge monitoring, plus two additional sensor inputs, you can keep a close eye on your power system. It also has a safety manual override for all battery switches and works with 12 or 24 volt systems. You can even parallel two units for 4, 5, or 6 engine installations. This innovative system is housed in a robust, ignition-protected IPX7 enclosure. The voltage thresholds of the Voltage Sensitive Switching (VSS) can be configured to your needs, and switch inputs can be assigned to any function. It monitors and transmits battery voltages and house bank state of charge over NMEA2000 for easy integration with multi - function displays. Remote battery switching can be done via NMEA2000 or wired switches, with a physical manual override for safety and servicing. Specifications include a max power consumption of 92mA, sleep power consumption of <3.5mA, 1 x NMEA 2000 Micro - C port, 1 LEN for NMEA2000 connectivity, a 5 - year warranty, an operating temperature range of - 15C to +55C (-5F to +131F), and more.

Using the BEP Twin Engine Smart Battery Hub is easy. First, install it in a suitable location on your vessel. Make sure it's in an area with the right temperature range, between -15C and +55C. Connect it to your batteries and NMEA2000 network if you want to use the remote switching and monitoring features. You can configure the voltage thresholds of the VSS according to your needs. Use the switch inputs to assign functions as you like. For additional monitoring, connect your sensors to the available inputs. When it comes to safety, always remember the manual override feature. If there's an issue or you need to service the system, use this override. Keep the hub clean and dry to maintain its IPX7 protection. Check the power consumption regularly to ensure it's within the specified limits. If you're parallel - connecting two units, follow the instructions carefully. Also, be aware of the storage temperature range of -40C to +85C if you need to store the hub for a long time.
