Product Detail

The Blue Sea 7036 is a 30 Amp 187-Series thermal circuit breaker designed for panel mount. It combines switching and circuit protection in one device. All components meet SAE J1171 external ignition protection requirements, making it safe for gasoline-powered boats. With a clear single lever operation and a 'Trip Free' design, it ensures reliable performance. It's waterproof, has recessed mounting holes for a clean look, and a self-trimming case. The round case allows easy installation with a standard hole saw. Large terminal studs can accept heavy gauge wire lugs, and 5/16 terminals provide high torque connections. The large lever indicates trip status. Circuit breaker class is Type III - Switchable / Manual Reset - Trip Free. It uses a thermally responsive bi-metal blade and has a thermoset polyester case. Voltage rating is 48 Volts DC maximum. Interrupt ratings are 5,000 Amperes @12 Volts DC, 3,000 Amperes @24 Volts DC, and 1,500 Amperes @42 Volts DC. Operating temperature range is -25°C to +82°C. Using the Blue Sea 7036 circuit breaker is straightforward. First, make sure to install it in a panel using a standard sized hole saw as the round case is designed for easy fit. Connect heavy gauge wire lugs to the large terminal studs and use the 5/16 terminals for a high - torque connection. The single lever operation makes it simple to turn on and off. If there's a fault current, the 'Trip Free' design will automatically trip, and you can reset it manually. Remember, this breaker is for use in a temperature range of -25°C to +82°C. Keep it away from extremely hot or cold environments. It's waterproof, but try to avoid submerging it for long periods. For maintenance, check the connections regularly to ensure they are tight. If you see any signs of damage or wear, replace the breaker. Also, be aware of the warning about the chemicals it may expose you to. For more details on this, visit P65Warnings.ca.gov.
