It has thermal and electronic overload protection. There are jacks for bridging additional TPU amplifiers. Each model comes with brackets for easy wall mounting. The TPU250 can also be rack-mounted with included brackets, and TPU-B models can be rack-mounted with an RPK82 mounting kit (sold separately).
Using the Bogen 250-watt amplifier is easy. First, decide if you want to mount it on the wall using the attached brackets or rack-mount it with the provided brackets (or RPK82 kit for TPU-B models). Connect your 600-ohm balanced telephone line, low-impedance balanced microphone, or background music source to the appropriate inputs. You can use the RCA jack or screw terminals for the music input. Adjust the page volume, music volume, night ringer, music mute, and audio enhancement controls according to your needs. When someone makes a page from the telephone or microphone, the paging channel will automatically mute the background music, and you can set how much it mutes. After the page, the music will gradually come back. The VOX sensitivity level control helps avoid picking up background noise from the paging telephone. Remember, this amplifier has thermal and electronic overload protection, so you don't have to worry too much about overheating or overloading. For maintenance, keep it clean and free from dust.
