Product Detail

The BoatLIFE Life-Calk Sealant is a long-lasting, permanently flexible marine polysulfide sealant. With a 2.8 FL. Oz tube in a beautiful mahogany color, it can be sanded and painted (though not compatible with all paints like Sikkens, Cetol, Deks, Olje). It's suitable for use above and below the waterline. It becomes tack-free in 1 to 3 days and offers excellent resistance to teak oils, gasoline, and diesel fuel. Ideal for teak decks, bedding deck and hull hardware, sealing thru-hull fittings, and underwater seams. It bonds well to fiberglass, wood, metal, glass, and even itself. Curing to a firm, flexible rubber seal, it has great waterproofing and adhesion. It can be applied underwater for emergency repairs and on damp surfaces. WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Toluene which is known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to P65Warnings.ca.gov.

How to use: First, make sure the surface is clean. You can apply the sealant above or below the waterline, and it can even be used on damp surfaces. For emergency underwater repairs, it works great too. Just squeeze the 2.8 FL. Oz tube of the mahogany - colored sealant onto the area you want to seal. It'll be tack - free in 1 to 3 days. Note: This sealant isn't compatible with all paints, such as Sikkens, Cetol, Deks, Olje. Also, be aware that this product contains Toluene which can cause birth defects or other reproductive harm according to California regulations. Check P65Warnings.ca.gov for more details. Maintenance: Once it cures to a firm, flexible rubber seal, there's not much special maintenance. Just keep an eye on the sealed areas over time to make sure the seal is still intact. If there are any signs of wear or damage, you can re - apply the sealant.
